'Warrior Medics' conduct Black Hawk medevac litter training, familiarization flights over Tampa Bay

MacDILL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. - Army Reserve Medical Command Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment 1st Sgt. Heath T. Blumberg gives other "Warrior Medics" the thumbs-up during May 18, 2024, familiarization flight in a UH-60 Black Hawk military ambulance operated by Golf Company, 5th General Support Aviation Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment. Blumberg said, “The first time I was in a Black Hawk, I was with the 82nd Airborne. I flew up, and I jumped out." Before the flights, Golf Company crew chiefs and critical care flight paramedics conducted litter bearer training with the AR-MEDCOM Soldiers on and off the air ambulances at the company's MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., facility.
