FORT CAVAZOS, Texas - Amal Baty, a volunteer role player with 4th Battalion (Medical), 393rd Infantry Regiment, receives a simulated injury from Sgt. 1st Class Pamela Dupar, moulage noncommissioned officer in charge assigned to 4th Battalion (Medical), 393rd Infantry Regiment, in preparation for a validation exercise held on Ft. Cavazos, Texas, on Sept. 26, 2023. The use of moulage, a technique that provides realistic training scenarios for medical personnel, enhances the training effectiveness by allowing providers the opportunity to visually see and respond to a variety of wounds.
