Fort McCoy, Army Reserve launches Operation Enabling Readiness pilot program

FORT MCCOY, Wis. - An assortment of Active and Reserve Component Soldiers fill out paperwork and await their vision screenings and Periodic Health Assessments during Operation Enabling Readiness (OER) in Fort McCoy, Wis., Aug. 17, 2023. Held on Aug. 16-25, 2023, the OER pilot program was designed to enhance medical readiness in conjunction with large-scale training exercises such as Combat Support Training Exercise (CSTX). It is a joint synchronization of efforts between 88th RD, Army Reserve Medical Command, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital and Fort McCoy Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security - Mobilization Branch.
