Soldiers test for Expert Field Medical Badge at Fort McCoy

FORT McCOY, Wis. - Sgt. Daniel Parsons, from 1st Battalion, 168th Infantry Regiment of the Iowa National Guard, is inspected by Capt. John Cash of the Army Reserve's 7454 Medical Operational Readiness Unit, after a land navigation testing event for the the Expert Field Medical Badge held May 16-22, 2021 at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. This EFBM event is the first hosted by Army Reserve, and offers an opportunity for Soldiers in the medical field to earn the special skill award by demonstrating exceptional competence and outstanding performance in Soldier and medical tasks. Less than twenty percent of candidates pass the challenging test.
