Colorado Springs, Colo., nurse adjusts wedding plans as she joins federal COVID response

EDINBURG, Texas - U.S. Army Reserve 1st Lt. Tina Simpson and her husband Dennis Bay at their wedding in Colorado Springs, Colo., July 18, 2020. The couple had to adjust their plans when Simpson, a medical-surgical nurse, was notified she was being mobilized with Urban Augmentation Medical Task Force 7452. She is assigned to DHR Medical in Edinburg, Texas as part of the Department of Defense support to COVID-19. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense assistance to the Federal Emergency Management Agency in support of the whole-of-America COVID-19 response.
