LOS ANGELES - Army Reserve Capt. James Gray, a physician’s assistant, shares knowledge on proper charting techniques, procedures and terminology to Sgt. Paul Butler, a combat medic, after a patient assessment. Gray and Butler are two of dozens of Army Reserve soldiers from the 7214th Medical Support Unit, stationed in Los Alamitos, Calif., who volunteered their time and medical expertise to help provide free care to residents of Los Angeles, many of whom do not have access to medical care.
