ARMY RESERVE MEDICAL COMMAND

Maj. Gen. Mary E. Link, a Ravenna, Nebraska native and commanding general of the Army Reserve Medical Command, addresses Soldiers from the 399th Combat Support Hospital, 804th Medical Brigade, 3d Medical Command (Deployment Support) April 2, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic Multidisciplinary Simulation Center in Rochester, Minnesota.  Link observed the training the training at the MMSC and commended the 399th CSH Soldiers on their performance. The training was an exercise in implementing the Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety, or TeamSTEPPS, model of patient care. TeamSTEPPS is a framework that was implemented by the Department of Defense to help optimize medical team performance and reduce communication errors that can lead to improper patient care.
