Belanger, commanding general of the 85th United States Army Reserve Support Command, during a reception, ahead of the 2018 U.S. Army Leadership Symposium held at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, November 7-9, 2018. The symposium, hosted by Army Marketing & Research Group, was held with organizations that the U.S. Army formed partnerships with, beginning in 2013: The National Association of Secondary School Principals and the American School Counselor Association. The purpose of the symposium was to create a collaboration between the organizations, and gain insights and priorities of each organization. A goal of the symposium was to increase awareness of Army careers, training and education opportunities, with a focus on leadership, that educators may not be aware exist. Belanger was amongst one of the Army senior leaders that participated in the event to provide insight and personal Army stories to educators and staff. (U.S. Army Reserve photo by Anthony L.
