Former Soldiers from the 85th Training Division and current members from the “Friends of the 85th” Association cut a celebratory cake during a ceremony in honor of the 85th Support Command’s 100th anniversary, June 9, 2017, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. The Army Reserve unit works side-by-side with First Army training Soldiers and ensuring that they are ready to deploy upon being called up. “Friends of the 85th” members said that it is important now more than ever for units like the 85th SPT CMD to be here executing their mission and giving Soldiers what they need to come back home alive.
