YUMA, Ariz. - Wearing virtual reality headsets, Army Lt. Col. Martin Plumlee (left), Army Capt. Kenneth N. Fischer (center), and Army Lt. Col. Craig A. Kuphall watch a 3D, virtual tabletop battle unfold during a demonstration of this advanced training simulation conducted Sept. 19, 2024, at Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. Assigned to Detachment E, Army Applications Group, 75th U.S. Army Reserve Innovation Command, these three Soldiers were among a group of hand selected ser participated in EDGE24, an Army exercise focused on integrating unmanned systems, data-sharing innovations and network resilience to strengthen air-combat capabilities in complex environments.
