Army Reserve medical unit from Puerto Rico supports Hurricane Maria recovery operations

San Juan, Puerto Rico - Soldiers from the 49th Multifunctional Medical Battalion, a U.S. Army Reserve unit based in Puerto Nuevo, Puerto Rico, support emergency recovery operations by FEMA and the Puerto Rico Department of Health following hurricanes Maria and Irma on Oct. 30. Soldiers of the 49th assisted storm survivors with debris collection and provided food, water, and medical supplies to the central mountainous region of the island.
