TAJI MILITARY COMPLEX, Iraq - U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Thomas Browne, a native of Liberia, Africa, who became an American citizen, serves as the billeting NCO for Taji Military Complex, Iraq. As a child, Browne survived a civil war and life in refugee camps before emigrating to the United States. He became both a civilian police officer and joined the military. Browne is shown conducting an inspection of Taji laundry facilities Feb. 8, 2020. His reserve unit promoted him soon afterward. Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve remains unified and determined in its mission to degrade and defeat Daesh and continues to work with allies and partners to implement stabilization efforts.
