Army Historians document actionable history during COVID-19 operations
NEW YORK – Capt. Julian Woodhouse, officer in charge of the 315th Military History Detachment, works COVID-19 Operations supporting Dept. of Defense Task Force New York from the Moxy Hotel in Times Square, one of the primary operations centers for the Task Force. Woodhouse is part of the team of U.S. Army historians mobilized across the continental United States documenting COVID-19 operations for the U.S. Army. U.S. Army North, as U.S. Northern Command’s Joint Force Land Component Command, supported various needs including public hospitals in New York City and New Jersey, responding to COVID-19 in concert and coordination with state and local entities as well as other federal organizations such as FEMA and Dept. of Health and Human Services.
