Soldiers help Team USA secure medals & Olympic quotas at Pan American Games
U.S. Army Spc. Timothy Sherry, a Highlands Ranch, Colorado native who is a competitive marksman/instructor with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning, Georgia, competes in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru August 2. Sherry placed fifth while his Team USA teammate, Lucus Kozeniesky, claimed the Gold Medal. Sherry also competed in the Men’s 50m Three-Position Rifle event at the Games on July 30 and won the Gold Medal. In his third Pan Am Games event, the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team, he placed just off the podium in fourth with Alison Weisz. (Pan American Games courtesy photo)
