FORT BRAGG, N.C. –
The Army Reserve’s U.S. Army Civil Affairs & Psychological Operations Command (Airborne), will be hosting the first Virtual Unit Ministry Team (UMT) Annual Training August 4 – 7, 2020.
The training is available to all USACAPOC(A) Soldiers who are serving in a chaplain (56A), chaplain candidate (56X), or religious affairs specialist (56M) position.
Speakers at the UMT training will include Brig. Gen. Jeffrey C. Coggin, USACAPOC(A) commanding general, representatives from U.S. Army Reserve Command, and the 81st Readiness Division, and will cover a range of required topics, from Title 10 religious accommodation requirements to religious area analysis.
The advanced UMT training is designed to prepare unit team members with the tools necessary to meet the challenges of working in today’s diffused ministry environment, and will enable USACAPOC(A) UMTs to meet new USARC ministry standards ahead of schedule.
The virtual UMT training is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m., and will take place on Microsoft Teams/CVR, accessible either through a government computer, personal computer, or cell phone. Users without computer access or network connectivity will be able to access the training through a dedicated teleconference line.
