Walking Shield benefits community and Army Reserve
An Army Reserve Soldier and Animal Care Specialist with the 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support) preps a canine for neuter during an Innovative Readiness Training mission, called Walking Shield, that provides badly needed medical care to underserviced Ojibwe and surrounding communities of the Leech Lake Reservation in Cass Lake, Minn., on August 10, 2021. The mission also allows for important on-the-job training for U.S. Army Reserve medical personnel.
