Civil Affairs Soldiers deliver Christmas gifts, good cheer in Bucharest
BUCHAREST, Romania – Capt. Greg Caruso, team chief, Civil Affairs Team 3231, 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion, Green Bay, Wis., visits with a Salvation Army Team member about the importance of the work they are doing in Romanian communities here on Dec. 21. Gifts were collected starting the week of Thanksgiving and through the combined efforts of Civil Affairs Team 3231, Office of Defense Cooperation, U.S. Embassy, 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, Army Support Activity-Black Sea, Area Support Group-Black Sea Staff, and other Service Members at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, not only did 125 children receive clothing and toys, the Salvation Army was able to surpass their overall goal and reached 300 kids with Project Angel Tree this holiday season.
