983rd Engineering Battalion Works on Construction Projects for Crane Army
U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers of the 983rd Engineering Battalion worked on five construction projects designed to improve infrastructure during the unit’s annual training hosted by Crane Army Ammunition located on Naval Support Activity Crane Activity. Two of the projects assigned to the 983rd involved a vertical construction project. Elements of the project included the addition of metal siding, a concrete pad, and a door to the building. “We’ve never had an annual training where we were strictly doing construction missions,” Sgt. Andrew Wuebben, the NCOIC of the project site, said. “We’ve been given a great opportunity for our Soldiers to learn more about their specific jobs.” The completion of these missions will provide the reservists with their two week annual training and CAAA with more protected storage for munitions.
