Army Reserve Ambassador Sonja Brewer retired from the Department of the Army with over 30 years of service in various positions including Information Systems Analyst and Training Analyst.  ARA Brewer retired from the U. S. Army Reserve after 36 years as Command Sergeant Major; As Command Sergeant Major her duties included personnel advisor on matters affecting the enlisted force. ARA Brewer devoted much of her time traveling throughout the Army Reserve Command to observing training and interacting with Soldiers and their families in a dual capacity. She served on a variety of councils and boards that made decisions affecting enlisted Soldiers. ARA Brewer served with the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) supporting Army Reserve training systems and coordinating publication of regulatory guidance. She deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom She currently volunteers with various organizations in her community.
