Major General Peter A. Bosse

Commanding General

 

 Major General Pete Bosse enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1980 and served on active duty as a radio-teletype operator (O5C) at Fort Campbell, KY. He graduated from the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Michigan State University in June 1984 and he was commissioned in the Signal Corps as a Second Lieutenant. His degrees include a Bachelor’s degree in Retail Marketing Management from Michigan State University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan, a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College and a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Business Administration from Northcentral University. Major General Bosse is an Advanced Joint Professional Military Education and CAPSTONE graduate and a Joint Qualified Officer.

Major General Bosse recently served as Deputy Commanding General – Reserve Affairs and AREC Director at U.S. Army North. He has commanded units at all levels during his career including the 842nd QM Company in Kansas City, KS; Base Camp Commander for Camp Udairi, Kuwait with the 19th ASG (P); 213th Quartermaster Battalion in Wausau, WI; the 208th Regional Support Group at Fort Jackson, SC, the 101st Sustainment Brigade (Provisional), Fort Campbell, KY and 1st Group/3rd Brigade/75th Training Division (MC) in Arlington Heights, IL and Commanding General, 87th Army Reserve Support Command (ARSC) Birmingham, AL while dual-hatted as DCG (S), First Army Division East.

Other assignments include: Telecom Center Officer 156th Signal Battalion, Michigan National Guard; Plans Officer, Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics, 89th Army Reserve Command; Transportation Officer, Deputy Chief of Staff Logistics, 125th Army Reserve Command; Supply Management Officer, 6th Materiel Management Center (MMC); Automation Management Officer, 19th MMC; Director of Logistics for Camp Anaconda, Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom), 19th ASG (P); he also served as the Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer (EPLO) for Michigan including time as the ARNORTH liaison to NORTHCOM for President Ford’s Funeral; as Deputy Commander for Regional Joint Task Force Alpha (H1N1), 200th Military Police Command and as Deputy Program Manager/Chief of Staff for Office of the Program Manager-Facilities Security Forces, Saudi Arabia.

Major General Bosses’ decorations include the Legion of Merit (with two oak leaf clusters), the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (with three oak leaf clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (with three oak leaf clusters), the Army Achievement Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Combat Action Badge, and the Air Assault Badge. He is a Lifetime member of the Signal Regiment, a Distinguished Member of the Quartermaster Regiment and he was awarded the Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.
