377th Theater Sustainment Command

Brigadier General Norman Green serves as the Deputy Commanding General of the 377th Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) in New Orleans, Louisiana. The 377th TSC is the largest command in the United States Army Reserve, with more than 36,000 Soldiers, over 900 Civilians, and 442 units in 39 states.

Brigadier General Green is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. He graduated from South Carolina State University in 1985, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and was commissioned Infantry as a Distinguished Military Graduate through the Reserve Officers Training Corps. He holds a Master of Public Administration Degree from Central Michigan University and a Master of Strategic Studies Degree from the United States Army War College. His military education includes Infantry Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, United States Army Ranger School, Combined Services Staff School, the United States Army Command and General Staff College, the Senior Officer Transportation Advanced Course, and the United States Army War College.

He has served in a variety of maneuver and multifunctional logistics assignments to include: Platoon Leader, Company D/E, 2d Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment and Executive Officer, Company A, 3d Battalion, 5th Cavalry, Heidelberg, Germany; Assistant S-4 and S-4, 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division and Company Commander, 3rd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Company Commander and Platoon Senior Observer/Controller, Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, Louisiana; Assistant Operations Officer, 5th Recruiting Brigade, San Antonio, Texas; Senior Observer Controller, 75th Division, Houston, Texas; Aide-de-Camp, Plans Officer, and Support Operations Officer, 377th Theater Support Command, New Orleans, Louisiana; Liaison Officer, 10th Mountain Division, (Operation ENDURING FREEDOM-Kabul, Afghanistan); Liaison Officer/C35, Coalition Forces Land Component Command (Operation IRAQI FREEDOM-Kuwait/Iraq); Liaison/Plans Officer, United States Army Central (Operation IRAQI FREEDOM-Baghdad, Iraq); Operations Officer and Battalion Commander, Special Troops Battalion, 377th Theater Support Command, New Orleans, Louisiana; Brigade Commander, 304th Sustainment Brigade, Riverside, California and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM- Joint Base Balad, Iraq; Chief of Staff, 79th Sustainment Support Command, Los Alamitos, California; and Commanding General, 4th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

His decorations and awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star (two Oak Leaf Clusters), the Meritorious Service Medal (four Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (one Oak Leaf Cluster), the Army Achievement Medal (three Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Meritorious Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, the Combat Action Badge, the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, the Senior Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge, the Ranger Tab, and numerous campaign and service medals.
