CSM Darlington enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1982. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri. During his previous 32 years of service, CSM Darlington has served in a variety of professionally rewarding and developmental positions across the Army in the operating and generating force.

His previous assignments include serving as the Command Sergeant Major for the 800th Logistics Support Brigade, 80th Training Command (TASS); Command Sergeant Major, 90th Aviation Support Battalion, 11th Aviation Command, White Settlement, Texas; State Emergency Liaison NCO, FEMA Region VI, Denton, Texas; G3/7 Schools and Quality Assurance NCOIC, 95th Division (IT), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Acting School Sergeant Major, 2-95 (MP), 95th Division (IT), Baton Rouge, Louisiana; ANCOC Course Manager, MOS-T Course Manager and Military Police Instructor, 2-95 (MP), 95th Division (IT), Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Military Police Investigations NCOIC and Squad Leader, Military Police Activity, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Military Police Investigator, United States Military Community, Bad Hersfled, Germany; Team Leader and Military Policeman, 564th Military Police Company, 709th MP BN, Butzbach, Germany. Significant mobilizations include in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with 95th Division (IT), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

CSM Darlington is currently employed as a Detective with the City of Lewisville, Lewisville, Texas. He is a member of the Department Crisis Negotiation Team and holds a Master Peace Officer’s License with the State of Texas. He is a graduate of Park University located in Parkville, Missouri. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management, Cum Laude, and was named Fort Leavenworth’s Outstanding Military Student in 1991.

CSM Darlington has completed all levels of NCOES. His education includes United States Sergeant’s Major Academy, Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education Course, CSM/SGM Force Management Course, BDE/BN Pre-Command Courses, Army Basic Instructor’s Course, Small Group Instructor’s Course, Advance Non-Commissioned Officer’s Course (95B), Basic Non-Commissioned Officer’s Course (95B), Primary Leadership Development Course, Military Police Investigations Course and Military Police OSUT.

 CSM Darlington’s decorations and badges include; Meritorious Service Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Gold Hourglass and M device, NCO Professional Development  Ribbon with 4 affixed, Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal with 1 affixed, Air Assault Badge and Driver’s Badge.

 CSM Darlington is married to the former Lauri Ferguson of Dallas, Texas, and resides in Corinth, Texas. They have a daughter, Cheyanne, and a son, Seth.
