Born in 1978 in Springfield, Missouri, Command Sgt. Maj. Campbell enlisted in the Army Reserves in April 1996 and attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri as a Combat Engineer.
Command Sgt. Maj. Campbell has had a variety of duty assignments. He has served with CO C, 489th EN BN (C)(M) (USAR) Harrison, AR, 526th Terminal Supervision Team DET (USAR) Springfield, MO, 370th Transportation Control DET (USAR) Sinton, TX, 95th REGT 1 BN (EN)(1) (USAR) Fort Leonard Wood, MO, 842nd QM CO (USAR) Kansas City, KS, 484th Transportation Battalion (MC) (USAR) Springfield, MO, 89th Sustainment Brigade (USAR) Kansas City, MO and is currently assigned to the 316th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) located in Coraopolis, PA
He has performed numerous duties as Track Vehicle Driver, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Operations NCOIC, Plans NCOIC, Course Manager, Combat Engineer Branch Chief, First Sergeant, Battalion, Brigade, and ESC Command Sergeant Major.
Command Sgt. Maj. Campbell has four mobilizations. Most recently, he served as the Regionally Aligned Force (RAF) Movement Control Battalion (MCB) CSM responsible for all military movements throughout Operation Atlantic Resolve. He also performed one stateside tour as a First Sergeant in support of Command and Control Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Response Element (C2CRE), one tour to Kuwait as a BDE Plans NCOIC, and one combat tour to Iraq as a Combat Engineer.
Command Sgt. Maj. Campbell is a graduate of the Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Foundation Instructor Facilitator Course, Small Group Instructor Course, Company Commander and First Sergeant Course, Battalion Brigade Pre-Command Course, the Sergeants Major Academy, and Industry Based Broadening Logistics.

Command Sgt. Maj. Campbell received his Associate of Arts degree from Ozarks Technical Community College where he graduated with honors as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Command Sgt. Maj. Campbell is employed as the Supervisory Staff Administrator for the 89th Sustainment Brigade. Command Sgt. Maj. Campbell is happily married to his wife Surapha and calls Topeka, Kansas home. Together they have 3 sons, 2 daughters, and 1 granddaughter.
