CSM Aaron A. Miller is the Command Sergeant Major of the 353rd Civil Affairs Command, Staten Island, New York. CSM Aaron A. Miller enlisted in the U.S. Army in September 1986, and after completing BCT and AIT, served in numerous units on active duty before transitioning to the U.S. Army Reserve.
His last assignment was as the Brigade Command Sergeant Major for the 354th CA BDE. His previous assignments include Senior Operations SGM for the 352 CACOM Fort Meade, MD, Battalion CSM for the 407th CA BN Arden Hill, MN and Battalion CSM for the 440th CA BN Fort Carson, CO. He has served as a Team Sergeant, Detachment Sergeant, First Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, and CSM. His deployments include Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Afghanistan, Horn of Africa, and Iraq. CSM Miller has also participated in several overseas missions and operations including Panama, Thailand, Japan, Poland, Kenya, Ethiopia, Yemen and Germany.
CSM Miller is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy, and all NCO Development Courses to include Battalion and Brigade Pre-Command Courses. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from North Dakota State University, and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas Grantham. CSM Miller retired in 2015 and returned to duty in 2022.

He is also the recipient of the General Winfield Scott Silver Medallion.
