Command Sgt. Maj. Terry Aleshire

Command Sergeant Major, 104th Training Division (LD)

CSM Aleshire is currently serving as the Commanding General for the 104th Training Division (Leader Training). He started his career in the U.S. Army Reserves in Dec. 1989 when he joined the 221st Ordnance Company in Ft Wayne, IN, before he transitioned to the Active component. CSM Aleshire has held every NCO leadership role in his 29-year career.

CSM Aleshire’s subsequent assignments include 2nd BN 14th Infantry (Light Infantry) as an Infantry Aid man, Evacuation NCO, Aid Station NCO, and serving overseas during Operation Restore Hope. Served as the Operations/Training NCO at the Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM) in Natick, MA. CSM Aleshire requested and was approved to attend Flight Medical School. Upon completion, CSM Aleshire was assigned to the 542nd Medical Company DMZ, Camp Page Korea as a Flight Medic and Training NCO; the 1st BN 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) Ft. Bragg, NC as Medical Platoon Sergeant; the 3rd BN 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) Ft. Bragg, NC as Medical Platoon Sergeant; 2nd BN 338th Regiment, Camp Atterbury, IN. as Observer Controller Trainer (OC/T), Platoon Sergeant, Equal Opportunity, Security Manager and Battalion Operations Sergeant; and the 7218th Medical Support Unit (MSU) Louisville, KY as First Sergeant/Detachment NCO. The 7218th MSU was mobilized to Camp Atterbury where CSM Aleshire served as Camp Atterbury Medical Detachment First Sergeant responsible for Camp Atterbury’s Medical Treatment Facility and Medical Mobilization Facility. During CSM Aleshire's mobilization in 2013-2014, he was promoted as the Command Sergeant Major with the 452nd Combat Support Hospital (CSH) in Milwaukee, WI; Command Sergeant Major 787th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion in Dothan, AL who also just returned from Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq; Command Sergeant Major 210th Regional Support Group in Aguadilla, PR; Command Sergeant Major 757th Expeditionary Rail Center (ERC) Granite City, IL. Currently, was recently selected as Command Sergeant Major 104th Division Training (LT).

CSM Aleshire’s military education includes Basic Training, Advanced Individual Training as 92Y Unit Supply Specialist, 91B Medical Aid Man Course, Flight Medical Aid Man Course, Nuclear Chemical Biological Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, Basic Airborne Course, Jumpmaster Course, Battle staff NCO Course, Senior Joint Professional Education Course, and the Sergeants Major Academy.

CSM Aleshire’s civilian education includes Associates and Bachelor of Science from University of Phoenix in Indianapolis and is currently working on his master's degree in organizational leadership.

In CSM Aleshire’s civilian career he is the District Operations Manager (Indiana) for Star Leasing Inc.

CSM Aleshire resides in Fortville, IN and has four children, Matthew (31), Piper (20), Gabriel (18), and Lauryl (18).
