Command Executive Officer, 335th Signal Command (Theater)

Mr. Edward Hriczov Jr. currently serves as the Command Executive Officer for the 335th Signal Command (Theater).

Mr. Hriczov entered the MILTECH program as a Telecommunications Specialist, GS-0391-11/1, with the 335th Signal Command (Theater) in East Point, Georgia on 14 October 2007. On 20 January 2008, Mr. Hriczov’s position changed to an IT Specialist (NETWORK), GS-2210-11/1. Mr. Hriczov was promoted from IT Specialist (NETWORK), GS-2210-11/4, to Supervisor IT Specialist (NETWORK), GS-2210-12/1 on 4 November 2012. His position was reassigned as a Staff Operations and Training Officer, GS-0301-12/3 on 28 December 2014. On 28 May 2017, he was reassigned and promoted as the Supervisor IT Specialist (NETWORK), GS-2210-13/1.

Mr. Hriczov served in the military and concluded his military service upon his Mandatory Retirement Date as the Deputy G-3/5/7/9 for the 335th Signal Command (Theater). Originally, from Clifton, New Jersey, Colonel (Ret) Hriczov was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant from the Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA, in .June 1987. Following the Signal Officer Basic Course, he reported to the 99th Signal Battalion, where he held positions as Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer and Battalion Radio Officer. Lieutenant Hriczov completed the Signal Officer Advance Course in 1995 and went on to fill an OC/T assignment at the 2/347th Regiment, where he was soon promoted to the rank of Captain.

Assigned as the Assistant S-3 at the 2/347th Regiment, where he was an integral part of the transformation to convert the unit from pure RC to multi-component. He was then selected to become the HHC Commander. After his tenure, he was selected to be the Battalion Executive Officer for the 1/349th Logistic Support Battalion, Fort Gordon, GA, where he was promoted to the rank of Major. In 2003, he was mobilized to support Operation Noble Eagle and Operation Iraqi Freedom and served on Active Duty until 2007. He was then assigned to the 335th Signal Command (Theater) Command, East Point, GA, as the Deputy G-6. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in 2008 and again mobilized to support Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom for four years. He served as the Chief of C4I, Chief of Plans, Chief of Force Integration and the Chief of Strategic Development while at the HQs in East Point, GA. He served as the Chief of Future Operations and the Deputy G-3 while deployed to Southwest Asia. Lieutenant Colonel Hriczov’s next assignment was the Commander of the 2/383rd Combat Support / Combat Service Support Battalion at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Colonel Edward Hriczov Jr. was promoted and assumed Command of the 5th Brigade, 94th Training Division at Fort Allen, Puerto Rico. He was deployed for a year as the Chief of Staff for the 335th Signal Command (Theater)(Provisional) from 2015-2016.

Mr. Hriczov holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Technology from New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College. His military education includes: the Signal Corps Officer basic and Advance Courses, Staff Process Course CAS3, ILE, Visual Information Officer Course, Reserve Component National Security Course, Reserve Component Security Information Seminar, Defense Strategy Course.

Mr. Hriczov possess the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service in addition to his 20 years length of service for service as an federal employee. His military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (6th Award), Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (7th Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ M Device (2nd Award).

Mr. Hriczov’s wife, Carol, is also a Retired Colonel and had served our country for nearly 36 years. They have been together for over 33 years and have two children, Joseph and Tatiana.
