Brig. Gen. Beth Salisbury

Brigadier General Beth Salisbury currently serves as the Deputy Commanding General for Operations at the 3d Medical Command Deployment Support, FT. Gillem, GA. With over 31 years of service in both the active and reserve components, BG Salisbury initially enlisted in the Army Reserve in 1987. She later received a Regular Army commission through the Millersville University Reserve Officer Training Corps as an Occupational Therapist, with follow on assignments at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Brooke Army Medical Center, and Reynolds Army Community Hospital. BG Salisbury has served in a variety of assignments at the tactical and operational levels which include Brigade Commander, Ohio Army Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer, Occupational Therapy Reserve Corps Section Chief for the Army Medical Specialist Corps, Medical Brigade Executive Officer, Company Commander, Company Executive Officer, Operations Officer, and Training Officer among others. Additionally, she has deployed on several overseas operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Spartan Shield, and Operation Inherent Resolve with duty as Executive Officer, 113th Combat Stress Control Company, from March 2003 to May 2004; Commander, 55th Combat Stress Control Company, from January 2009 to February 2010; Chief of Operations, Intelligence, and Plans, 3D MCDS OCP FWD, from February 2014 to November 2014; and Commander, 3D MCDS OCP FWD, from July 2016 to November 2017.

BG Salisbury earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Elizabethtown College and holds Master of Arts degrees in National Security Strategy from the American Military University and in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. She is a graduate of the AMEDD Officer Basic Course, Upper Extremity Neuromusculoskeletal Course, AMEDD Officer Advanced Course, Combined Arms Service Staff School, Command General and Staff College, Pre-Command Course, Mobilization Course, Movement Course, Impoverished Explosive Device-Level 3 Train the Trainer Course, Commanders Safety Course, Basic and Advanced Critical Incident Management Course, Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Course, Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metric Course for Deploying providers, and the Defense Support of Civil Authorities Phase I and II courses.

Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation Medal (5 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (7 Oak Leaf Clusters), Armed Forces Commendation Medal (4 Oak Leaf Clusters), National Defense Service Medal (with Bronze Service Star), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal (silver hour glass with "M" device, 3rd award), Iraqi Campaign Medal (3 Campaign Stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd Award), Army Reserve Component Overseas Ribbon, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, and the Army Superior Unit Award (2nd award). BG Salisbury was also awarded the 9A proficiency designator by the Army Medical Department Specialist Corps.

In her civilian capacity, BG Salisbury is the owner of Complete Therapy Care Inc. which provides on-site industrial rehabilitation services. She is married to her husband of 24 years, Dr. Rick Salisbury, and has two Sons, Rich and Cole.
