Mr. Charles C. Hudson assumed his present position as Chief of Staff for the 88th Readiness Division in March 2012. Prior to becoming the Chief of Staff, he was the Director of Logistics for the 88th Regional Support Command. As the Chief of Staff, Mr. Hudson provides executive leadership, management, influence and oversight of plans, programs, and policies; including the Army Transformation Program within the 88th RD region.
He reports to the Commanding General for a Readiness Division with base operations responsibility for nineteen states. He directs, manages and supervises operations of the command in the absence of the Commander in public affairs, internal review, legal, religious support, medical, inspector general, safety, information management, human resources, plans and training, logistics, analysis and integration, resource management, history, emergency services, and public works areas. He supervises a workforce of nearly 1,200 Department of Army civilians, military technicians, Active Guard Reserve Soldiers and Troop Program Unit Soldiers. He manages the command's current operations, information management, resource integration, structure, manpower, EEO programs, and the training, logistical and personnel readiness.
Mr. Hudson began his federal civilian career in 1983. He served continuously for more than 29 years as a military technician. More than 17 of those years he held key senior civilian positions in the United States Army Reserve. Before serving as the Director of Logistics for the 88th Regional Support Command he was the Deputy for Management and Support (DMS) and served as the Supervisory Management Analyst in the Deputy Chief of Staff for Force Development (DCSFOR), 90th Regional Readiness Command. He received numerous awards for his leadership and service to the Army Reserve.
Mr. Hudson earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Arkansas. Mr. Hudson's significant professional training includes the Organizational Leadership for Executives Course, Labor Relations for Executives Course, Equal Employment Opportunity Course and the Army Force Management Course.
