The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Strategic blood supply for Operation Inherent Resolve
Blood is inspected for proper labeling at the Role III hospital in Iraq. Blood is an important, life saving product that needs to readily available at a moments notice for traumatic resuscitation. The Role III in Iraq is currently staffed by the 801st Field Hospital and 374th Hospital Center, an Army Reserve unit out of Fort Sheridan IL. The Soldiers of the 801st Field Hospital are responsible for supplying blood within Operation Inherent Resolves area of responsibility.
