The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. 33rd Annual National Night Out
Hundreds of people from the Fort Meade community came out to participate in the 33rd annual National Night Out at the McGlachlin Parade Field on Fort Meade, Md., Aug. 2. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes partnerships with first-responder agencies to make neighborhoods safer and better places to live. The event was established in 1984 and participation has increased from 2.5 million people in 400 communities to more than 32 million people in 9,530 communities since.
