The U.S. Army Reserve’s 99th Readiness Division hosted a Yellow Ribbon event Sept. 12-14 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Rev. Dr. Paul V. McCullough III, Army Reserve Ambassador for Pennsylvania, served as keynote speaker for the event. Yellow Ribbon events span the deployment cycle - pre-deployment prep, mid-tour virtual check-ins and post-deployment reintegration - to connect families with vital resources, all backed by the program’s emphasis on family well-being. Army Reserve ambassadors train to serve
Nearly two-dozen Army Reserve ambassadors join Maj. Gen. Margaret W. Boor, commanding general of the Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command, center, and Maj. Gen. Michael R. Smith, deputy chief of Army Reserve, not pictured, during the annual Army Reserve Ambassador Training Workshop June 5-6 at 99th RSC headquarters on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The workshop increased the ambassadors’ ability to carry out their mission of educating the public, community leaders and congressional staff offices about the capabilities and value of the Army Reserve and its Soldiers.
