The Army Reserve Deployment Health Assessment Program's 2018 AR DHAP Coordinator Annual Training

18-21 June 2018 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Airport Hotel and Convention Center, Charleston, S.C.

This year’s training will focus on Post Deployment Health Reassessment (PDHRA) event coordination and scheduling, building relationships and best practices throughout the Army Reserve along with key stakeholders that have responsibilities associated with the execution of various aspects of the DHAP.  We will present information on new program developments, current mission requirements, and objectives for FY19.

 

The AR DHAP Team will fund 1 Primary and Alternate DHAP Coordinator from each Geographical and Functional Command.  Funding is first come / first served and personnel must register by 24 May 2018.  Funding will be open to all interested parties after 15 May 2018.

All personnel must be HIPPA trained and have access to the PDHRA Referral and MMSO Modules in eMMPs, PDHRA Coordinator permissions in AVS, MEDPROS Module in MODS, and Army Reserve Personnel Systems such as CSMM, RLAS or IWS. Appointed personnel must request system access through their appropriate command representatives prior to arrival at the annual training.

Personnel appointed as G&F DHAP Coordinators must be in the rank of E6 and above or GS 7 and above with, at least, 24 months remaining on station. Personnel must have familiarity with the Automated Voucher System (AVS) and eMMPS Applications of MEDCHART, medical terminology, the standards outlined in AR 40-501, and Army Personnel Systems. They should be involved with or have familiarity with the command’s mobilization planning activities.

The primary G&F Command DHAP Coordinator must be a full time staff member. Personnel appointed as alternates can be full time or Troop Program Unit (TPU) Soldiers. TPU Soldiers must have required system access and be accessible through email and phone during non-scheduled time in the event an issue arises.

Online registration for this training event is mandatory for all attendees regardless of funding source.

7 May 2018:  Cross-org requests/DTS input begins online

24 May 2018:  Registration and hotel reservation period closes

1 June 2018:  DTS for cross-org Attendees closes

The registration link is:  2018 AR DHAP Coordinator Annual Training.  The password for the Eventbrite page is "DHAP".  All Online registrations and hotel reservations must be made NLT 24 May 2018, unless approved by MAJ Anderson or Mrs. Gibbs.  DTS authorizations must be completed by 1 June 2018 in order to guarantee funding.  Participants will NOT make lodging reservations through DTS.

Personnel can begin inputting DTS authorizations on 7 May 2018.  Cross-org information for DTS will not be provided until on-line registration is complete. TRAVEL DATES

Arrival: Sunday, 17 June 2018 (Flights before 1800 EST). 

Departure: (1) Thursday, 21 June 2018 (Flights after 1830 EST) or (2) Friday, 22 June 2018 (Flights before 1500 EST)

LODGING & RESERVATION INSTRUCTIONS

In order to receive funding from the DHAP line of accounting, attendees will be required to stay at The Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Airport Hotel & Convention Center, 5055 International Boulevard, North Charleston, South Carolina 29418.  The Embassy Suites are providing a group rate of $177.00 (Per Diem:  Max Lodging - $177.00 / M&IE - $69).  Reservations can be made under the Group Name: United States Army Reserve, Group Code: DHAP

ADDITIONAL TRAINING INSTRUCTIONS

Training attendees should be seated no-later-than 0750 in Ballroom A of the Embassy Suites Convention Center. All attendees are required to have appropriate system access.  Please bring your government laptop and MiFi (if available)

FUNDING REQUESTS

Military Personnel and Government Civilians may request funding to attend the DHAP training by completing the 2018 AR DHAP Training Eventbrite Registration NLT 24 May 2018.  Please contact Wendy Gibbs if requesting funding after 1 June 2018.
