BOWIE, Md. - Soldiers of the Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC)
partner with the Bulldog Battalion, Army Reserve Officers Training Corps at
Bowie State University on 31 March during a celebration of the ROTC 100th
Anniversary to help highlight the benefits of military intelligence
training, operational leadership experiences and various unit assignments.

Elite Warriors of the MIRC test their Army aptitude at a competition in March at Camp Bullis by conquering urban warfare simulations, a board interview, a physical fitness test, a written exam, and other Warrior tasks and battle drills relevant to today’s operating environment. Today’s MIRC Warrior is extremely competent in Soldier and leadership skills and is capable of communicating with equal effectiveness in a board room, a SCIF, and on the battlefield.

MIRC Warriors are well versed in a variety of tasks outside of their primary military occupational intelligence skills, and are able to react, adapt and overcome situations quickly and decisively, with a culminating strategic effect that helps win wars.

LEWISVILLE, Texas - Sergeant Colby Bozo was born in Texas, graduated from high school, and was a member of the track team his junior and senior years. Following high school in 2008, SGT Bozo enlisted in the Army Reserve. During his military career, he deployed in support of the Global War on Terror on two separate occasions. SGT Bozo is survived by his wife Kristen and newborn son, Brody. He will live on in the memories and hearts of everyone blessed to have known him.

Congratulations are extended to Chief Warrant Officer Four (CW4) Oliver-Wegman for 38 years of service to this great nation. The retirement ceremony on 7 Oct. is officiated by Col. Zarbo, MIRC Deputy Commanding Officer, and is held at the John S. Mosby Army Reserve Center.

The event symbolizes the Army tradition of recognizing the activation of a Army unit with a direct mission in support of the Department of Defense. Col. Andrew Udzielak, Commander of the 648th Regional Support Group officiated the event, while the 338th Army Band entertained those in attendance.

The 208th Regional Support Group, as assigned to the Military Intelligence Readiness Command, (MIRC) is inactivated, effective Sept. 15., 2015, pursuent to Permanent Order F-085-003, as addressed during a ceremony at Ft. Jackson, S.C. on Aug. 1.

Brig. Gen. Christie L. Nixon took command of the Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC) at Ft. Belvoir, Va. Aug. 1, 2015. Brig. Gen. Nixon had been assigned as Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) since July 2013.
