United States Armed Forces Culinary Arts Team Recognition

FORT GREGG-ADAMS, Va. - Chief Warrant Officer 2 Christine Stanley, Staff Sgt. Steven Philipps, and Sgt. Shanea Benner pose with their awards following the 49th Joint Culinary Training Event awards ceremony held at Fort Gregg-Adams, Va. on March 7, 2025. The three competitors represented the United States Armed Forces and Army Reserve Culinary Arts teams during the competition, the largest of its kind in North America. Stanley received a gold and silver medal for the Army team while Philipps received a gold, silver and bronze medal. Benner received a gold and bronze medal and was also recognized as the 2025 Armed Forces Pastry Chef of the Year by the American Culinary Federation, the host of the event.
