In this image released by the Army Reserve's 75th Training Command, Maj. Gen. James "Boe" Young, the unit's commanding general, addresses Soldiers and others as part of a live video "town hall" in Houston, Texas, Saturday, May 20, 2017. The unit chose the format partly due to the organization's geographic footprint. While headquartered in Houston, its subordinate units are located across the country, so the Facebook-hosted event provided an effective way to connect with those troops. Reserve units historically have had to look for creative ways to provide support and communication for its troops and family members, who often are not located near active duty bases where such support functions are readily available to the full-time force.
