In 2022, the 377th Theater Sustainment Command celebrated its 80th anniversary. The unit was originally activated in July of 1942 at Fort Dix, New Jersey as the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 12th Port of Embarkation. Since then, the unit has evolved to become the U.S. Army Reserve's largest command and a leader in logistics and sustainment operations. The video is a snapshot of the command's past, more recent operations and where it's going.
Members of the United States Army Special Operations Command demonstration team, the Black Daggers, flew to the Crescent City to open the 2022 New Orleans Air Show at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans March 19-20. The team jumped in the United States and POW flags as well as a custom-made flag in recognition of the 80th anniversary of the 377th Theater Sustainment Command. The package features interviews with former 377th TSC Commander, Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Harry "Skip" Philips, Jr., commanding general from 2006-2009 as well as Sgts. 1st Class Jeff Menda and Mike Johnson, members of the Black Daggers
