African Lion 2026 academics builds readiness, drives innovation

Detachment 38, 335 Signal Command (T) departure ceremony
Earlier today, 20 Army Reserve soldiers assigned to Detachment 38, 335th Signal Command, were honored during a departure ceremony as they prepared for a nine-month deployment to Kuwait. 

During their deployment, Detachment 38 will provide IT support to the theater of operations and maintain the network, a critical role in ongoing military missions. 

The soldiers’ families were in attendance, along with Maj. Gen. Jan Norris, commanding general of the 335th Signal Command, the Mayor of East Point, GA, Deana Holiday Ingraham, cadets from Tri-Cities High School Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, and members of the Patriot Guard Riders. 

The 335th Signal Command has been headquartered in East Point, here in Atlanta, since 1953.
