Corpsman Kelsey Redmond, navy nuclear medicine technician from the U.S. Naval Hospital Guam, continues her family’s military service tradition as she assists the radiology team at the Calvo Field House at the University of Guam during Guam Wellness Innovative Readiness Training (IRT), Aug 2-10. Guam Wellness IRT is a collaborative partnership with the Department of Public Health and Social Services that leverages military contributions and community resources to multiply value and cost savings for participants. RICHMOND, Virginia (July 29th, 2022) Navy Reserve Force Master Chief (FORCM) Tracy Hunt places a Navy Chief combination cover on Army Chief Warrant Officer 5 Phillip M. Brashear, son of the late Master Chief Master Diver Carl Brashear during his appointment as an Honorary Navy Chief Petty Officer. The appointment was held in conjunction with CW5 Brashear’s retirement ceremony celebrating his 40 years of military service at the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center onboard Defense Supply Center in Richmond, Virginia on July 29th, 2022. CW5 Brashear was appointed as an Honorary Navy Chief Petty Officer by the Master Chief Petty officer (MCPON) of the Navy Russell Smith for his relentless dedication to the United States Navy. Over the course of 17 years, CW5 Brashear inspired Sailors and members of the Chiefs Mess to keep pushing forward in the face of adversity, volunteering his service to the Navy, and accepting responsibility beyond the call of printed assignment..
