Command Sergeant Major Deedra A. Perez is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina. She entered the U.S. Army in May 1995 completing Basic Training at Fort Jackson, SC and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Rucker, AL as an Air Traffic Controller and upon completion of AIT she reported to Grafenwohr, Germany.
Command Sergeant Major Perez has served in numerous leadership positions: Air Traffic Control NCOIC, Drill Sergeant, Senior Drill Sergeant, First Sergeant, Senior Human Resources Sergeant, Brigade Operations NCOIC, Senior Enlisted Advisor, Deputy Commandant, Director of Instruction and G1 Sergeant Major.

Additionally, CSM Perez earned a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from Grantham University.
