Command Sergeant Major Corey A. Thompson born in Rochester, New York enlisted in the United States Army August 1989. He completed One Stop Unit Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and was awarded the military occupational skill 19K Armor Crewman serving 9 years on Active duty. In 1998 CSM transitioned to the United States Army Reserve, where he attended training and was awarded the 12B Combat Engineer. In 2007, CSM was selected to serve in the Active Guard Reserve Program.

CSM Thompson has deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm Operation Enduring Freedom/Afghanistan and Operation Noble Eagle/ Iraq in Support of the Global War on Terrorism.

CSM Thompsons civilian education includes a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration from Trident University, and a Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso.

CSM Thompson and his wife have four sons.
