NOVO SELO TRAINING AREA, Bulgaria - Bulgarian Land Forces Lt. Col. Petar Petrov, commander of Novo Selo Training Area, and Bulgarian Land Forces Maj. Pavel Gigov, examines new firefighting equipment during a hand-over event between U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Area Support Group-Black Sea and Bulgarian Land Forces soldiers assigned to 32450 Mokren Command at the Mokren Command headquarters, Bulgaria, April 27, 2022.The hand-over event was facilitated by U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to 407th Civil Affairs Battalion following a request made by the 415th Civil Affairs Battalion in 2021. Bulgaria is a steadfast and gracious host, and the U.S. is honored to continue our long-term cooperation through engagements such as bilateral exchanges to improve partnership interoperability.
