VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - U.S. Army Reserve Capt. Alexander Tucci, a civil affairs officer (right) and Pvt. Alec Golden, civil affairs specialist (left) with the 437th Civil Affairs Battalion, 354 Civil Affairs Brigade attempts to negotiate a peace talk with the village chief Aug. 15, 2021, during exercise Apollo Gold is a civil affairs training exercise designed by the 437th CA Bn to prepare Soldiers to perform duties in a multi-domain, hybrid-threat post-conflict (stabilization) environment. The exercise is part of the unit's annual training. It focuses on stability operations and foreign humanitarian assistance that civil affairs teams conduct in a deployed environment.
