CAMP SHELBY, Miss. - U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers, assigned to the 344th Engineer Company based in Tallahassee, Florida, take cover behind a blast blanket while detonating a linear det charge placed on a door hinge to create an entry point during the Pershing Strike mobilization exercise. The training prepared Soldiers in breaching obstacles when deployed and attached to a cavalry, scout or infantry platoons. Pershing Strike was the most sizable, large scale mobilization exercise to date at the historic Camp Shelby in Mississippi that tested stressors at a Mobilization Force Generation Installation to evaluate realistic capacities at an MFGI.
