PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - Army nurse Korean-born Capt. Hyekyong Nicholson smiles with her Army nurse daughter 1st Lt. Alayna Serr in a Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, dining facility three days after her May 4, 2022, graduation from the Basic Officer Leadership Course, at the Medical Center of Excellence there. Serr said she is thrilled to serve in the Army Nurse Corps alongside with her mother, now that she graduated from the nursing program at Indiana University, her mother's alma mater.
