Allies Come Together for Religious Services during AnaKonda 16

New world record set for longest amphibious vehicle bridge during Exercise Anakonda 2016

This bridge stretching the length of the Vistula River near Chelmno, Poland was created by connecting 34 U.K. and German Amphibioius Rigs together, which was then able to support 200 U.S. Army vehicles crossing, including Strykers. The multinational exercise set a new world record for building the longest Amphibious Rig vehicle bridge.  Anakonda 2016 is a Polish-led, joint multinational exercise taking place throughout Poland June 7-17. The exercise involves more than 25,000 participants from more than 20 nations. Anakonda 2016 is a premier training event for U.S. Army Europe and participating nations and demonstrates the United States and partner nations can effectively unite under a unified command while training on contemporary scenario. U.S. and U.K. Strykers are ferried across the Vistula River near Chelmno, Poland in a demonstration of the Amphibious Rig capabilities June 7 as part of a multinational event during Exercise Anakonda 2016. The ferries are created by connecting six Amphibious Rigs together, which are then capable of transporting military vehicles or supplies across a body of water.
