88th RSC maintenance facility wins Army supply excellence awar

Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. Raymond T. Odierno, presents Wendy Rich, a tools and parts attendant at Army Maintenance Support Activity 38, with the Army’s supply excellence award at the 11th Annual Chief of Staff of the Army’s Combined Logistics Excellence Awards ceremony, hosted at the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia, June 10.

AMSA 38, which is based in Wichita, Kansas, and falls under the 88th Regional Support Command, was one of 15 logistics units recognized for superior performance in supply operations, after being judged by evaluators from the U.S. Army Transportation, Ordnance, and Quartermaster Centers.

Bridging the Mississippi: Army Reserve bridge companies raft Mississippi during WAREX

Bridge crew members return from their situational training exercise traveling three miles down the Mississippi River from La Crosse, Wis., as part of Warrior Exercise 15-02. The 459th Engineer Company (Multi-role bridge), out of Bridgeport, W. Va., led the operation, augmented by Soldiers from the 310th, out of Fort A.P. Hill, Va., and 299th, out of Fort Belvoir, Va., Eng. Companies (Multi-role bridge).
