Army Reserve leaders collaborate, coordinate, communicate and cooperate to ensure readiness

Soldiers from several Army Reserve public affairs units participate in pre-deployment training during the 99th Regional Support Command’s five-day Staff Exercise Aug. 8-12 at command headquarters on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The STAFFEX was designed to integrate the 99th RSC’s full-time military and civilian employees with the command’s Troop Program Unit (TPU) Soldiers in a scenario-driven exercise to test various processes and personnel as they relate to Defense Support of Civil Authorities.

Tucker, commanding general of First U.S. Army, right, attend a change-of-command ceremony for the Army Reserve’s 174th Infantry Brigade prior to the FORSCOM Commander’s Dialogue hosted May 4 by the Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. The purpose of the dialogue was to conduct informal and candid discussions with Army Reserve senior leaders on mission readiness challenges, including best practices. Joining Abrams for the Dialogue were Lt. Gen. Jeffrey W. Talley, chief of Army Reserve and U.S. Army Reserve Command commanding general, and leaders from the Army Reserve’s 99th RSC, 75th Training Command and 1st Mission Support Command.

Katherine Rios-Cuartas of the Army Reserve’s 77th Sustainment Brigade cut the Army Reserve birthday cake during the Army Reserve 108th birthday celebration April 22 on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. “We salute all those who have served, and continue to serve – Soldiers, Civilians and their Families – for their remarkable dedication to our country,” Boor said.

Army Reserve command trains facility coordinators, boosts readiness

The 99th Regional Support Command provides base operations support (BASOPS) to all Army Reserve Soldiers, units, facilities and equipment for the entire Northeast Region of the Army Reserve, including Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut and New Hampshire. Base operations includes personnel administration, finance, facilities management, logistics management, maintenance, public affairs and legal support.
