Nathan Perez works to restore a memorial to the late Erick Lynch on October 6, 2018, at what is now Kaiserslautern Middle School. Lynch was a Kaiserslautern American High School student killed in a hiking accident in 1998. For his Eagle Scout project, Perez led a small group of his Boy Scout Troop 232 fellows and their parents in the restoration project. The memorial had fallen into neglect over the years.
