The 88th Regional Support Command hosted it's Regional Training Workshop 15-16 July 2016. 28 Ambassadors from 16 States received critical information from senior Army Reserve leaders on Army Reserve initiatives, programs and our way ahead.
The conference received key informational briefings from MG Smith, DCAR; MG Reinert, CG 88th RSC, MG Carroll, CG 377th TSC; BG (P) Kok, DCG Support, USAREC, and BG Gray, CG, 86th Training Division.
Ambassadors visited the WAREX, hosted by the 86th Training Division. They also viewed training and interacted with Soldiers and Unit Leaders. They showed care and concern for Soldiers and the conditions in which they train, which is part of the ARA Charter. Taking care of Soldiers and reviewing how the ARAs are available for them is critical for the ARA mission.
Ambassadors toured multiple training platforms on Fort McCoy, seeing first hand how simulations and hands-on training positively impacts Soldier Readiness
They conveyed the importance of communicating the Army Reserve story and how leadership will implement the National Commission of the Future of the Army, as well as key talking points from the CG, USARC.
The Key Take-Aways and Outputs Fort McCoy is the premier Army Reserve Training platform. ARAs toured the WAREX and the Combat Hospital, viewed training and interacted closely with Soldiers.
The Army Reserve Ambassador corps is capable of bridging the gap between units, Soldiers and community leaders as well as convey the way ahead and message from the CG, USARC.
