Change of Command Ceremony, Texas
SAN ANTONIO, Texas - A change of command ceremony is an Army tradition that represents a transfer of authority from one commanding officer to another. Key to the ceremony is the senior noncommissioned officer as the custodian of the unit guidon and as the senior enlisted advisor to the incoming commander. Command Sgt. Maj. James Lambert, center, is a 30-year veteran of the Army Reserve, and is helping the unit prepare for the day's events.
